Strike action by MUNZ will continue as planned tomorrow, Wednesday 17 October, for 3.25 hours only, from 1000 to 1315 hours.
As previous, cargo operations at the Axis Fergusson and Bledisloe container terminals, associated cargo operations at the rail, pack and shuttle facilities and cargo receival and delivery handled by Ports of Auckland at the general cargo wharves will be affected during this time. All other operations will continue as normal.
There will also be no road receival or delivery at Axis Fergusson or Bledisloe terminals just prior to and just following the strike action, between 0900 to 1400 hours. There will be staff available for general enquiries by phone. This is to assist with a smooth transition during the strike period, particularly on the resumption of work at the terminals.
Ports of Auckland is working to ensure this strike has minimal impact on operations and do not expect any significant delays to cargo operations and every effort will be made to minimise any delays at the road services.
Strike action by MUNZ staff is also proposed for Monday 22 October, again for 3.25 hours from 1000 to 1315 hours. No further strike notices have been received.
